Since today is the long-awaited Presidential Election I figured I’d share a positive aspect of the word “President” and talk about my experience at the Boston Park Plaza. Ever since their opening in 1927 the Boston Park Plaza has had all but two Presidents enjoy a stay at the hotel. You know you’re in the lap of luxury when you hear that! To get a peek into one of the finest hotels I’ve ever been to, and the most beautiful Presidential Suite, keep on scrolling!
Even the entrance to the Boston Park Plaza is amazing. There are two main entrances on either side of the street making it easy for guests to get to the hotel from the busy streets of downtown Boston. The hotel is just yards from the Boston Common and Public Park, and a hop skip and a jump away from the Theater District, tons of historical sites, and yummy restaurants.
The moment you breeze through the doors of the Boston Park Plaza you’re welcomed by the most beautiful decor a hotel can offer. Boston Park Plaza underwent a $100 million renovation, but keeping the iconic elements, some of which they didn’t even know existed until they started the makeover. With the combination of it’s old charm, and modern new, the Boston Park Plaza is a one of a kind hotel that will have you in awe with every step you take.
As we ride the elevator with our jaws dropped up to the Presidential Suite we had no idea the magnificence we were about to walk into. As you open the double doors to the suite you see the prettiest sitting area in front of you with the most gorgeous views and light.
To the left is the second bathroom (yes, there’s two!), and the dining area with one of the prettiest light fixtures!
To the right is the bar/kitchen area. We were welcomed with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, and when the BPP has a monogram, you have to take a picture with yours next to it! #Twinsies!

Continue on and you have the ever so comfortable living room. With its plush couch, big tv, and fun games to keep you entertained I never wanted to leave!
Continue through the living room to enter the bedroom. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved how the room felt nothing like a hotel room. It felt as if I was in the comfort of my own home…just better! 🙂
Then there’s the Master Bathroom. Commence the jaw drop. Dripping in marble and the utmost modern feel, this bathroom is hands down the prettiest hotel bathroom I’ve ever laid eyes on.
One of the many conveniences of the Boston Park Plaza is that it has its own restaurant “Off The Common,” as well a restaurant accessible from their lobby called STRIP by Strega. The ladies and I dined at Strip by Strega our first night and it was delectable! It’s a swanky steakhouse with low lit lighting, fantastic wine, and of course delicious steak. I had the petite filet (melted in my mouth!) and roasted cauliflower for dinner. For dessert we shared a baked Alaska (meringue type dessert), and the banana split. I could have eaten the entire banana split by myself!
After a much-needed nights sleep we enjoyed some girl time which calls for the best room service breakfast, and champs of course.
It was a treat to be able to dine at Boston Park Plaza’s restaurant Off The Common. Located in lobby, Off The Common is a place to dine even if you’re not staying at the hotel (but why wouldn’t you?! Head to the bottom of the post for a special offer!). For starters a few of the girls and I decided to celebrate fall and had a drink our kind waitress suggested. It was a glass of pumpkin beer with a shot of vanilla vodka surround by a yummy cinnamon/sugar rim. Such a unique and good drink! For dinner I had seared Chilean seabass that came with ricotta gnocchi, sea beans, mushrooms and lobster. My mouth is watering just thinking about how good it was. For dessert I had chocolate ganache cake with caramel sauce and sea salt. I officially need this entire meal again stat! Off The Common all around was a great restaurant. With comfy seats and couches as part of the dining experience, it’s such a relaxing vibe.
Every window in the Presidential Suite had a windowsill made for sitting on to look out at beautiful downtown Boston. As I sit there savoring the last minutes of my time I found myself so grateful for the opportunity to experience such a marvelous place. From the outstanding staff and fantastic food, to the breathtaking decor and beautiful rooms, the Boston Park Plaza is 5 stars. If you want to feel like the President without the baggage of being one, then stay at the Boston Park Plaza. Since you deserve the Presidential treatment, from now until November 30th you can take 15% off your stay at the Boston Park Plaza with the code BLOGGER. Happy Election Day, and happy travels!
Disclosure: In exchange for this post I received a complimentary stay at the Boston Park Plaza as well as dining at STRIP by Strega and Off The Common. All opinions are, and will always be my own.
