Meet chomps (that’s what we named him). This guy was literally in the back yard of the villa. I have to say after our first encounter with chomps looking for him was half the fun of the trip. Although I’m sure scary if there wasn’t a distance between us, he was so majestic in his movements & fun to watch. A beautiful creature I love to watch from a distance!

Everyone looks so small in front of the lighthouse! This was later that afternoon when Angie, Kyle & I explored inside Old Baldy.
It’s 108 steps up to the top, but worth the view! Did you know that Old Baldy is the oldest standing lighthouse in NC? Definitely deserves its name!

Angie & Kyle were so kind to invite me to stay with them on their trip to Bald Head Island. With Matt being gone & me being a little lonely, this is just what I needed. I know in-laws can be complicated for some, but I got SUPER lucky in that department all the way around. I seriously could not have asked for better in-laws. They are all so loving, caring, giving, & just plain cool. Inviting me on this trip is a prime example of that when it could have been just Ang & Kyle. I like to think I’m a good third wheel, & I had such a wonderful time. To those that have crappy in-laws, I’m sorry, that sucks. To those that want better ones…you can’t have mine. They’re already spoken for. Thanks for reading! Now…go to Bald Head Island & tell chomps hello for me!
